About Me
With over 15+ years of professional teaching expertise in visual arts, I have successfully developed and coached art curricula, guided art exhibition shows, and managed comprehensive studio work within both International and IB curriculums. I am a self-motivated educator deeply committed to fostering a positive learning environment characterized by safety, encouragement, and abundant opportunities for discovery and growth. My approach is designed to create a space where individuals not only feel comfortable but also inspired to learn. My international experience spans across Qatar, China, the U.S.A., Iraq, and Turkiye, reflecting my cultural competence and proficient ability to forge strong professional relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.

Roles and responsibilities:
- Designed and implemented an engaging Primary Years Program curriculum both virtually and face-to-face for grades K-5 students.
- Observed and assessed students’ performance, maintaining thorough records of progress using Microsoft programs accessible to parents for reviewing student assignments.
- Planned collaboratively to build on students’ knowledge and skills, developing significant units of inquiry to accommodate a range of ability levels.
- Mentored Visual Arts workshops for G5 students and supported the creative development of students throughout their PYP Exhibition.
- Led after-school art and design programs and actively participated in the PYP and NEASC accreditation process.
Roles and responsibilities:
- Designed a Visual Arts program for grades 1-8 that contained a wide array of artistic themes in addition to meeting Chinese National art curriculum standards.
- Sound understanding of the content and structure of the inquiry-based visual arts and appropriate means of monitoring and assessing student achievement.
- Coordinated with high school art teachers across the district and community to improve current programs and implement new ideas for art programs.
- Participated in staff meetings and school activities to align classroom work with school goals and objectives.
- Led the elementary school PYP meetings with the curriculum coordinator to develop the program of inquiry for the school.

- Taught and assesed inquiry-based visual arts for students aged KG1-Grade 2 in the 2014-2015 school year and KG1-Grade 4 in the 2015-2017 school year.
- Planned collaboratively with the upper primary art teacher and the Grade level teachers in the school and continuously contributed to learning celebrations and art displays around the school.
- Developed the scope, sequence, and inquiry program for the school’s visual arts program.
